BECKY NAGY, PSYD, LP
Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Owner of EMDR & Wellness Solutions
Dr. Becky Nagy is a licensed psychologist, whose approach to treatment is focused on building the therapeutic relationship, while utilizing cognitive behavioral and client-centered techniques. Many individuals also find additional symptom alleviation with the incorporation of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Although Dr. Nagy works with individuals struggling with a wide range of concerns, her areas of interest include: treatment of trauma, mood disorders, anxiety issues, performance enhancement, and struggles adapting to situational stressors. Dr. Nagy assumes that the client is the expert on him/herself and during times of struggle may need some guidance and understanding from a professional who has theoretical and technical expertise. Everybody has a different biological, psychological, and social makeup, which leads each individual to react in their unique way to life stressors. Therapy can be a healthy option for coping with these life stressors, as well as to enhance performance, and gain greater insight of one’s self. The treatment is individualized, goal-oriented, and guided by the client.
Dr. Nagy has provided mental health services since 2005, serving in many capacities. Outside of private practice, Dr. Nagy has clinical experience in corrections, substance abuse, crisis recovery, and transitional living settings. She has served as a supervisor, and has assisted in the development of diagnostic, therapy, and advanced therapy doctoral practicum opportunities. Dr. Nagy has research experience in Suboxone/Subutex/Methadone demographics as well as birth order, IQ, sibling spacing, and family size. Dr. Nagy is a member of the Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing International Association (EMDRIA). Dr. Nagy also serves as the supervisor for limited licensed clinicians at EMDR and Wellness Solutions.
