Rena Kassel MA, LPC, NCC, AAPT
Licensed Professional Counselor
As an MA, LPC, I help individuals explore their thoughts, feelings, and behavior to reach a clear self-understanding and change long-standing patterns of behavior that may be disrupting relationships, work and study. Over time, the nonjudgmental and accepting nature of clinical mental health counseling makes it possible to face painful experiences and unknown part of self.
Often people notice that the nature of their personal difficulties is repetitive. Similar issues arise time and again in different contexts and relationships. As a professional counselor I will work within clearly contracted, ethical boundaries, with respect for my clients, their values, their beliefs, to explore and resolve life difficulties.
I experience great positive feeling from working with receptive, proactive people who bring a heartfelt commitment to personal growth and evolution through therapeutic exploration. Therapeutic counseling requires an active effort and a belief in the capacity to change.
Counseling provides the opportunity for myself and my clients to achieve balance and grace, discover personal courage and strength, and to realistically approach and resolve personal issues.
The benefits of clinical mental health counseling often lead to a significant reduction in feelings of distress, increased satisfaction in interpersonal relationships, greater insight and self-awareness, increased skills for managing stress, mindfulness, living with clarity and resolutions to specific problems.
